ADEY Hope for Survivors is a survivor-led Ethiopian NGO dedicated to restoring dignity, safety, and opportunity; every team member brings lived experience to our work to ensure compassion and trauma-informed care.We walk alongside survivors on their journey from recovery to professional agency, facilitating safe repatriation and reintegration while advocating for systemic protection and prevention across Ethiopia.
የአደይ ተስፋ ለተረፉት በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ በችግር ውስጥ ባለፉ ወገኖች የሚመራ መንግስታዊ ያልሆነ ድርጅት ሲሆን፣ ክብርን፣ ደህንነትንና እድልን ለመ መለስ የተቋቋመ ነው፤ እያንዳንዱ የቡድን አባል ርህራሄንና ጥንቃቄ የተሞላበት እንክብካቤን ለማረጋገጥ የራሱን የህይወት ተሞክሮ ወደ ስራው ያመጣል።እኛ የተረፉትን ከማገገም እስከ ሙያዊ ብቃት ድረስ ባለው ጉዟቸው አብረን እንጓዛለን፣ ደህንነቱ የተጠበቀ ወደ ሀገር መመለስንና መልሶ መዋሃድን እናመቻቻለን፣ እንዲሁም በመላው ኢትዮጵያ ስርአታዊ ጥበቃና መከላከል እንዲኖር እንሟገታለን።
Our Story ታሪካችን
Adey Hope for Survivors began as a community-led response in the heart of Ethiopia. It was born from a simple yet profound act: listening to the voices of those who had escaped the shadows of trafficking and exploitation. This dialogue revealed a critical need for holistic, survivor-centered support systems that prioritize agency over pity. Our foundation is built on trauma-informed principles, shaped by the very people we serve. By building practical, dignifying supports—from deep emotional healing to sustainable economic empowerment—we ensure that every survivor has the opportunity to rewrite their future with safety, strength, and hope. Our organization was built by and for survivors, and today every staff member is a survivor who helps shape every program and decision.
የአደይ ተስፋ ለተረፉት በኢትዮጵያ እምብርት ውስጥ በማህበረሰብ የሚመራ ምላሽ ሆኖ ተጀመረ። ይህ የተወለደው ከቀላል ግን ጥልቅ ከሆነ ተግባር ነው፦ ከህገ-ወጥ የሰዎች ዝውውር እና ብዝበዛ ጥላ ያመለጡትን ድምጽ በማዳመጥ። ይህ ውይይት ከምህረት ይልቅ ለተረፉት ሰዎች ውሳኔ ሰጪነት ቅድሚያ የሚሰጥ አጠቃላይ ድጋፍ እንደሚያስፈልግ አሳይቷል።መሰረታችን የተገነባው እኛ በምናገለግላቸው ሰዎች በተቀረጹ መርሆዎች ላይ ነው። ተግባራዊ እና ክብርን የሚጠብቁ ድጋፎችን በመገንባት—ከጥልቅ ስሜታዊ ፈውስ እስከ ቀጣይነት ያለው ኢኮኖሚያዊ አቅም መፍጠር—እያንዳንዱ ተረጂ የወደፊት ህይወቱን በደህንነት፣ በጥንካሬ እና በተስፋ እንደገና የመጻፍ እድል እንዲኖረው እናደርጋለን። ድርጅታችን የተገነባው በራሳቸው በተረፉት ሰዎች ሲሆን፣ ዛሬ እያንዳንዱ የሰራተኛ አባል እያንዳንዱን ፕሮግራም እና ውሳኔ የሚቀርጽ ተረጂ ነው።

Why Adey? ለምን አደይ?
The Adey flower (Ethiopian Daisy) blooms only when the fog and darkness of the rainy season pass, welcoming the bright light of September. This symbolizes leaving behind the difficult and dark times experienced in Myanmar to begin a new, bright chapter.
የአደይ አበባ (የኢትዮጵያ ዴዚ) የሚበቅለው የክረምቱ ጭጋግና ጨለማ አልፎ የመስከረምን ብርሃ ን ሲቀበል ብቻ ነው። ይህ በሚያንማር ያጋጠሙትን አስቸጋሪና ጨለማ ጊዜያት ትቶ አዲስና ብሩህ ምዕራፍ መጀመሩን ያመለክታል።

In Ethiopian culture, the Adey flower announces that hope never dies. It serves as a beacon of optimism for our brothers and sisters currently facing hardships.
በኢትዮጵያ ባህል የአደይ አበባ ተስፋ እንደማይሞት ያበስራል። በአሁኑ ወቅት ችግር ውስጥ ላሉ ወንድሞቻችን እና እህቶቻችን የተስፋ ብርሃን ሆኖ ያገለግላል።
Resilience and Strength ጽናት እና ጥንካሬ
Just as the Adey flower endures the mud and heavy rains of winter to emerge brilliantly on its own, it represents standing tall after trials and our commitment to helping others stand again. የአደይ አበባ የክረምቱን ጭቃና ኃይለኛ ዝናብ ተቋቁሞ በራሱ ደምቆ እንደሚወጣ ሁሉ፣ ይህ ደግሞ ከመከራ በኋላ ቀና ብሎ መቆምንና ሌሎች እንደገና እንዲቆሙ ለመርዳት ያለንን ቁርጠኝነት ይ ወክላል።

As September marks the start of the Ethiopian New Year, "Adey" signifies the opening of a fresh chapter of life for those affected and in need of support.
መስከረም የኢትዮጵያ አዲስ ዓመት መጀመሪያ እንደመሆኑ መጠን፣ "አደይ" በችግር ውስጥ ላሉና ድጋፍ ለሚፈልጉ አዲስ የሕይወት ምዕራፍ መከፈቱን ያመለክታል።

Economic Empowerment ኢኮኖሚያዊ አቅምን ማጎልበት
Vocational training and job placement opportunities that foster financial independence and help survivors build sustainable pathways to freedom. ተረጂዎች የገንዘብ ነፃነት እንዲኖራቸውና ወደ ነፃነት የሚወስዱ ዘላቂ መንገዶችን እንዲገነቡ የሚረዱ የሙያ ስልጠናዎችና የስራ እድሎች።
Prevention & Advocacy መከላከል እና ተሟጋችነት
Community outreach and regional advocacy focused on tackling the root causes of trafficking and protecting vulnerable individuals through systemic change. የሰዎች ዝውውር መንስኤዎችን በመዋጋትና ተጋላጭ ወገኖችን በስርዓታዊ ለውጥ ለመጠበቅ የሚከናወን የማህበረሰብ ተደራሽነት እና ክልላዊ ድጋፍ።
