ADEY Hope for Survivors is a survivor-led Ethiopian NGO dedicated to restoring dignity, safety, and opportunity; every team member brings lived experience to our work to ensure compassion and trauma-informed care.
We walk alongside survivors on their journey from recovery to professional agency, facilitating safe repatriation and reintegration while advocating for systemic protection and prevention across Ethiopia.
Our Story
Adey Hope for Survivors began as a community-led response in the heart of Ethiopia. It was born from a simple yet profound act: listening to the voices of those who had escaped the shadows of trafficking and exploitation. This dialogue revealed a critical need for holistic, survivor-centered support systems that prioritize agency over pity.
Our foundation is built on trauma-informed principles, shaped by the very people we serve. By building practical, dignifying supports—from deep emotional healing to sustainable economic empowerment—we ensure that every survivor has the opportunity to rewrite their future with safety, strength, and hope. Our organization was built by and for survivors, and today every staff member is a survivor who helps shape every program and decision.
